After checking-in into the accommodation the Guest Pass Kiens-Chienes is at every guest’s disposal, if the booked accommodation is member of the Tourist office Kiens-Chienes. Guests who are in possession of the Guest Pass are authorized to use the entire public transportation net in Südtirol-South Tyrol.
They comprise the high comfort Pustertal-Val Pusteria railway, the famous Vinschgau-Venosta railway, all regional trains between Brenner-Brennero Pass and Trient-Trento as well as local and regional bus services, the spectacular funicular leading to Mendel Pass-Passo Mendola, the ropeways Mühlbach-Rio di Pusteria / Meransen-Maranza, Bozen-Bolzano / Ritten-Renon, Bozen/Bolzano / Jenesien-S. The village of Ehrenburg-Casteldarne is connected to the railway network.
Attention: From 15 December 2024 to 13 December 2025, the railway line between Franzensfeste and Bruneck will be suspended for major modernisation work. During this period, a replacement bus service will operate, with connections every 30 minutes between Brixen/Bressanone and Bruneck.
Both Ehrenburg-Casteldarne and the main town of Chienes-Kiens along with the outlying areas of St. Sigmund-S. Sigismondo and Hofern-Corti can be reached with public buses.
